Thrombomodulin, human, recombinant

Description
Recombinant carboxyl-terminal truncated form of thrombomodulin expressed in HEK293 cell line. The protein lacks the putative transmembrane and the cytoplasmic domains (-38 amino acids). The recombinant protein was purified from culture supernatant using a three-step chromatographic method (ion exchange chromatography and sizing columns).

Purity
Estimated at greater than 95% per SDS gel electrophoresis and coomassie staining. A single band, migrating at approximately 68 kDa under reducing conditions is observed.


Intended Use
The recombinant thrombomodulin is intended for use as a positive control in Western blots (250 – 500 ng can be visualized).

Presentation
Screw-capped plastic tube containing 1 mg protein in PBS pH 7.0, 5% Mannitol.

Concentration
The concentration is 1.04 mg/ml.

Storage
Store at -20°C or colder. Avoid freeze thaw cycles.
