Rabbit Brain Cephalin, lyophilized
Application:
Rabbit brain cephalin consists of phospholipids isolated from rabbit brain. It can be used as a phospholipid source in phospholipid dependent coagulation assays. The main components are: phosphatidylserine, phosphatidylethanolamine and phosphatidylethanolcholine.
Rabbit brain cephalin available as lyophilized powder.
Origin: Rabbit Brain
Assay:
Depends on the intended application. Usually a stock solution with 1-5 mg/ml is prepared, using an aqueous buffered solution or dist. water as diluent. A common concentration of RB-Cephalin for diagnostic blood coagulation purposes is i.e. 0.05 mg/ml.
Storage:
May be used by the expiry date given on the label when stored unopened, protected from moisture, -18 to -20°C. Avoid contamination of the reagents by micro-organisms.
Shipment of product does not require cooling during the time of transportation.
Stability after reconstitution:
8 hours at 15 -25°C
14 days at 2-8°C
We do not recommend to freeze and thaw the RB-Cephalin solution.
