anti-human CD41, Clone HIP7
Description
CD41 (platelet glycoprotein IIb) is composed of two subunits (120 kDa a, alpha and 23 kDa b, ß) that interact with CD61 in the presence of calcium to form a functional adhesive protein receptor. Upon blood vessel damage, this receptor binds to a variety of proteins including von Willebrand factor, fibrinogen, fibronectin and vitronectin. CD41 is mainly expressed on megakaryocyte-platelet lineage, but generally belongs to the antigens that are expressed during early stages of hematopoietic differentiation.
Properties
The monoclonal antibody ADG5034/L (clone HIP7) is a murine monoclonal antibody, subclass IgG2a. The antibody has been purified from by protein-G affinity chromatography, Purity > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
The antibody recognizes a 140kDa glycoprotein which is the α subunit of the CD41/CD61 (GPIIb/IIIa, αIIbβ3) complex called glycoprotein IIb (GPIIb). GPIIb is a calciumdependent, nocovalently associated heterodimer and contains a heavy chain (GPIIbα) and a light chain (GPIIbβ) linked by a single disulfide bond.
Presentation
Vial containing 100 µg /100 µl (ADG5034) or 300 µg/ 300 µl (ADG5034L) of purified antibody in PBS containing 0.09 % sodium azide (pH 7.2). The IgG concentration is 1 mg/ml. Spin the vial briefly before opening.
Storage and Stability
Store at 4 °C. For longterm storage aliquot and store at -20°. It is recommended to avoid freeze-thaw cycles. The reagent is stable until the expiry date stated on the vial label.
