murine MAb against human Prothrombin, Kringle I
Introduction
Prothrombin is a protein in the bloodstream, which is important in the clotting process. Factor Xa, another blood protein, converts prothrombin (Factor II) into thrombin. Thrombin is required in order to convert fibrinogen into fibrin, which is the primary goal of the coagulation cascade.
Abnormal prothrombin concentrations in the bloodstream may have different causes.
Description
The monoclonal antibody (clone no. K1 4C2-E7) is directed against human Prothrombin. The antibody has been purified from cell culture supernatant using Protein G affinity chromatography.
Epitope
Prothrombin Kringle I domain
Presentation
Screw capped vial containing 100 μg of purified antibody; liquid in PBS buffer, pH 7.4, 0.01% ProClin300. The IgG concentration is given on the vial label. Spin the vial briefly before opening.
Storage and Stability
Store antibody at 2°-8°C. For long term storage, antibody should be aliquoted and stored at –20°C or colder. It is recommended to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Known Applications
