Factor XII deficient human plasma
Description
Factor XII Deficient Plasma is manufactured from pooled normal human plasma depleted of Factor XII using antibodies directed to Factor XII. Only the highest quality citrated plasma is used as starting material.
Specification
The plasma is assayed to ensure the proper activity of the remaining factors (>50% activity), and is tested for fibrinogen, PT, aPTT. Please note: Results may vary depending on materials and methods used.
Application
For research assays of Factor XII antigen and functionality as a negative control and for dilution of standards and test samples.
Warning
The plasma is prepared from screened normal citrated human plasma that have been tested and found negative for HIV and Hepatitis by FDA-approved methods.
As no known test method can provide complete assurance that products derived from human blood will not transmit HBsAg, HCV, HIV-1, HIV-2 or other blood-borne pathogens, this reagent should be handled as recommended for any potentially infectious human specimen.
Presentation and Storage
Set of 10 clear, screw-capped vials each containing 1 mL of frozen plasma.
Preparation and Stability
Thaw 1 ml vials in 37 °C water bath for 5 minutes.
Product is stable until date stated on vial label when stored at -20 °C. Once thawed, plasma is stable for 4 hours at 2-8 °C in original vial.
Storage
Plasma is shipped frozen and should be stored at -20 °C or colder.
